May 3rd 2011 release..
“When we were getting ready to officially “drop” the song ["Hold On"] to iTunes and pick a release date, the preceding 24 hrs I happen to be thinking and missing my grandfather, who recently passed away last father’s day, and his birthday happens to be May 3rd… all the while being reminded of the devastating May 3rd tornado that happened in my home town of OKC.. after seeing the recent tornado tragedies that have affected our country.. so it seemed to be the perfect fit.. everything has fallen into place…and we hope this songs fits into your life, no matter what you you may be facing..”
Thank you for visiting and welcome to my website!
Music is like oxygen to me. I can’t live without it. It is my passion. It is my life. We all have a place in this world... and I know when I feel most at home, and that is on stage! I haven’t stopped performing since the age of 7.. and I couldn’t imagine it any other way..
The DEBUT Record...
You won’t believe this – but it all started from a Craigslist Ad! Yes! True story! My producer, Lyn Olson, and I came to meet one another in the most unusual way, and we click musically like I never thought would truly be possible - with anyone! He is truly an incredible musician and producer! Another unbelievable fact is that the music thus far has been recorded, written, and produced by just him and I (with the exception of the string part on “Hold On”)… It takes many long nights in the studio for two people to create, making sure that the explosion of music in our head comes out just like we hear it in our mind, if not, better!
People ask, "what kind of music are you making?"..
The rest of the record may come as a surprise, because it’s full of pulsating beats, driving melodies, and soulful lyrics...just pick your favorite artists from pop to rock or anywhere in between…and call it your own genre.. it is whatever you want it to be! There is something for everyone on this record! We hope our music inspires you..
Up to this point.. I have spent my entire life performing and singing every genre of music …it’s as if I’ve taken all of the sounds in my head and combined them with my most recent life experiences…all to create what I believe to be “a little bit of everything good” – at least in my mind! So I hope you will find something “good” you can connect to!
The debut single “Hold On”...
I wrote this song to give people hope..make people feel good… no matter what may be going on in your world, your personal life. The lyrics came to me literally over night. We have all gone through challenges in our own life-long journey.. I like to think the harder the struggle, the better end result is waiting just around the corner.. maybe you’ve lost a loved one… or someone you know is fighting a disease.. or you just got laid off get a job.. lost your home.. maybe you’re just trying to fulfill your wildest dreams... just when you think you’re ready to give it all up, just “Hold On” a little longer, and everything will work out. There is a neat story behind this song… but let’s just say the song itself has taken on a journey of its own.. I would love to hear your own story! What does this song mean to you?

“I was a producer looking for an artist . . . Amanda was an artist looking for a producer…
I had searched extensively for an artist for almost 2 years. I held countless auditions with the best vocalists sent to me from music schools, vocal coaches, talent agencies, etc. I heard many exceptional vocalists . . . however . . . none of them were exactly what I was looking for.
I needed an artist who was not just capable of singing . . . but an artist capable of writing amazing songs. . . an artist who pours their soul into their music . . . someone grounded and rooted in soul, R&B, and rock . . . while having a new twist and interpretation of exactly what modern pop can be …
… an artist as comfortable on the stage as in the studio . . . a consummate performer . . .
… a timeless artist who would have been as capable along side the greats of the 60’s through the 80’s while being able to “hold their own” against the swagger and intensity of modern pop.
I finally connected with such an artist when I responded to a tiny craigslist ad that was posted by Amanda Earhart. So . . . basically a craigslist music ad changed both of our lives.
After mic tests (Amanda blew me away on these) . . . and a couple of test demos . . . Amanda signed a production development deal with me as producer . . . and we began writing new material together. Over the course of one year, in a massive burst of creativity, we accumulated over 80 songs we had written as well as 20 demos with basic instrumentation of drums, bass, keys, guitar, and vocals. We are now perfecting the best of these amazing tunes for Amanda’s upcoming EP release. We have many phenomenal tunes that we will be released in the future that were initially created during this incredibly rewarding and creative time.
Producing Amanda Earhart has been incredibly rewarding. I thank Amanda for being such an incredible musician, writing/recording partner, and friend. I thank my wife and son for allowing me the many hours necessary for the creation of such amazing music. I thank God for bringing us together through a tiny craigslist music ad.
I look forward to the release of many more of our songs.
Oh . . . yeah . . . thanks craigslist!”

When you hear Amanda Earhart’s music . . . it may be hard to imagine . . . but every sound you are hearing is comprised of just two musicians: Amanda and me (2 exceptions indicated below). Amanda and I write 100% of the songs, play 100% of all of the instruments, and she sings 100% of the vocals on her soon-to-be released EP (with exceptions as indicated on Hold On below). Amanda thus far has played the piano and some percussion… I play guitar, bass, drums, keys, piano, percussion, and pretty much anything else you hear in our work. Many of our sound effects were created using esoteric feedback loops on certain models of old analog and digital delays. We recorded mixed and mastered 100% of Amanda’s songs in a home studio that I have built into the garage of my house. We have received no help by any major label or any other musician except ourselves throughout this process (except on Hold On as indicated below). It may be hard to believe, but it is true . . . everything you hear is basically just the 2 of us . . . in a home studio!
About the tune Hold On:
One of 20 demos we recorded over the last year was a song entitled Hold On. This song was perfected to become Amanda’s recent single release . . . Hold On. When you hear the tune Hold On . . . it may be hard to imagine that the song is comprised of basically two musicians: All vocals and instruments were performed by Amanda and me except for the following: the violin section was a stack of 24 tracks played by an amazing violinist, Robin Moreland (played from a string arrangement I wrote about 30 minutes before Robin arrived at the studio) . . . in addition the choir near the end was comprised of 52 separate tracks of Amanda, me, and my son. We desired to maintain the purity of the recording process. The vocals used on Hold On were originally intended to be scratch vocals just for the demo . . . but her “scratch” vocals were so good . . . we never replaced them and the scratch vocals are what you hear in the final mastered release of Hold On! Amanda is a true artist, musician, and singer . . . she is simply amazing!

HOLD ON
It’s hard to see the future come
when we know we’re not the only one
who’s trying so hard, trying so hard
Will we ever give way
Scared of everything we have today
Just falling a part, falling apart
Hold on forever
Hope now for better
Giving every little bit of me in
Hoping it will be the end of dying so hard, dying so hard
Chorus
We will not fail, no
Love will prevail
Just hold on
Never feeling quite the same
No, I’m not the only one to blame
I’m trying so hard, trying so hard
Nothing really ever said or done
No, it’s not the only battle won
I’m fighting so hard, fighting so hard
Hold on forever
Hope now for better
All I really ever want to do
Is get my heart to move me through all that I got
Give it all that I got
Chorus
Bridge
There’s a detour on the road
With a million miles left to go
Gotta see it now, gotta see it now
When there’s no place left to go
When you’re up against the wall you know
Gotta believe it now
Gotta be it now, be it now
Chorus

TO THE TOP
Take me to the top..
You know it’s a fine line
That you’re walkin’ on
You know it’s time and now
You got to be strong
You’re movin’ closer
To the top
You’re climbin’ higher now
You just can’t stop
Everybody has a dream and
Every one has a plan
Everyone tries to fight for glory
Somebody take a stand
Take me to the top..
You’re world’s on fire
Won’t be long
You’re night gets darker
Just before the dawn
You’re kickin’ down doors now
No way you’ll stop
Walls turn to vapor
all around you drop
Everybody has a dream and
Every one has a plan
Everyone tries to fight for glory
Somebody take a stand
